The Big Dig

Despite the aquatic assaults of relentless rain from above and super-high tides from below, the guys have been busy digging out the Oyster House site.  All the last remnants of the old structure have now gone and we have got down to reasonable soil (at the front) and shillet (at the back).  The system of digging  everything out with the mini-digger and transferring the waste material to a small truck via a conveyor belt through the middle of the building seems to be working well and not causing too much disruption to the locals.

Peter assures me that when he has finished digging and the digger is left in the bottom of a large hole, that he will be able to get it out through the new doorway and, from there, into the garage!  Hmmm.
