Things are changing fast

Work has been progressing well at the Oyster House despite the pretty awful weather.  At the end of last week, the guys sealed up the old front door (access at the front is now via the garage only).

This week, they have started to demolish the old extension at the rear.  When I was there earlier today, they had taken down the old lean-to that was the bathroom and they were stripping off all of the rest of the old slate roof (I didn't get a photo of the final stage before I left because it was p*ssing down by then!).  They will soon be clearing the site of all the old block work so that the big dig may begin.

Meanwhile, I have started ripping out the ceilings in the main living space to expose the old steel beams and so that we can complete the detailed design of the new insulation system.  If you are thinking of making a small investment on the stock market, Hammerite might be worth a few quid as their sales will definitely be on the up!
