Sorting out the Utilities

During the past couple of weeks we have been doing some work to sort out the utilities.  The incoming mains electricity supply has now been relocated to a point that will be inside a cupboard in the new entrance hall.  All the old electrics in the building are now "dead" and we have been stripping out a lot of the old wiring.  Later this week, Richard the electrician is going to wire up a builder's board to give us a temporary power supply during the build.

The gas meter has been removed for the moment (bizarrely, this is the only way to avoid paying the standing charge, even if you are not using any gas!).  It will go back in when we need to start using gas again.

The plumber is will soon be tidying up the incoming water supply pipework and moving the boiler to it's new location in the garage.
