This is the Oyster House at Newton Ferrers

This is it!

If you are wondering why we bought it, you really need to go inside the building and look out.  This is what you see from the main living area and (only better) from the roof terrace...

This is looking across the creek from Newton Ferrers towards Noss Mayo...

Location, location, location!
We completed the purchase of the Oyster House at the end of 2012 and, since then, we have been spending some time there getting a feel for the property, enjoying the fabulous location and working with Andy, the architect, to firm up on the plans for it's redevelopment.  These plans are now pretty much complete and we are planning to start building work early in 2014.

Our intention is to create an open plan living area on the first floor at the front with a new two storey three bedroom unit at the back.  On the ground floor at the front we are going to keep the garage space and the other room will be a study/bedroom four. The outside elevations will look quite different with modernist-style windows and a mixture of natural timber cladding with smooth and rough renders.
